English Tech Pedagogy Quick Survey

Most of us use technology in the classroom, but we also have digital workprocesses and use hardware for teaching purposes. What we want to accomplish with this survey is to find out what English faculty want to know more about and what they might like to share with others. For example, some of us are using our iPads for annotating pdf's and docs. Others are using the computer lab classrooms to good effect and the smart classroom podiums as well. Or perhaps you are a Blackboard maven and have found out how to foster a faster, easier, more effective discussion board. Briefly describe those under the share survey question below. On the other hand, maybe you have needs. Maybe you want to know how to use those smart podiums in the classroom or use YouTube in better ways or ask others how they handle digital workflow from students.

We will use your answers to pull together a barebones agenda for an English faculty tech 'meetup'. And what is a meetup? It is a face-to-face meeting where we use that agenda to share 'mad skills and needs'. What we can address together, we will, and what we can't figure out, we will work on for the next meetup. The idea behind this is being used at conferences in 'birds of a feather' meetings, unconferences, and what falls under the general rubric of 'open space' meetings.
