2020 Ladies Spring Crafting Retreat
Come celebrate National Scrapbooking Month with me as you enjoy a fun filled weekend of crafting and relaxation at A Picture Perfect Place! Where else are you going to be able to get time away to relax and work on your crafting projects?
This weekend begins at 11:00 am on Friday, May 1st and continues through Sunday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm. The crop room is large and spacious with seating for 12 guests.
WHAT WILL YOUR WEEKEND INCLUDE:

I will have some Close to My Heart cardstock, paper, kits, and other supplies available for you to purchase, as well as the latest catalog for you to order from. You will also have access to my collection of CTMH Inks, How-To Books, a few stamp sets, my collection of Thin Cut dies, and access to my personal Cricut machine with images in Design Space.
The crafting area has multiple tools for your use and convenience during your stay. There is a Bluetooth speaker, CD player/sound system, docking station, as well as a flat screen TV with a Blue-Ray/DVD player right in the crop room.
Their "TOOL BOX" consists of High-Speed Wireless Internet Access, The Honor Shoppe, Cricut Expressions Personal Cutting System ( you'll need to bring your own mat & cartridges), Sizzix® die cut machine with Shadowbox alphabet & numbers, QuicKutz® personal die cutting system with multiple decorative alphabets, Large paper cutter (18” X 15”), Decorative scissors, punches & stamps, “Scrap-pile” for when you just need some odds-n-ends pieces of paper, a large variety of idea books and instructional magazines, and a large "Design Wall" for the quilter's, as well as ironing table & iron.
Of course you are welcome to bring any additional tools you may have!
I will be offering a fun Technique Class featuring our amazing Close to My Heart papers and products where you will learn new technique that you can use on your future crafting projects. This class is optional and is included in your registration fee. As we draw closer to the event, I will be sending an email with details of the class and give you the option to reserve your spot for the event.
The Lodge and Amenities
The beautiful lodge, near Estes Park, can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. You’ll enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in one of our 5 bedrooms. All beds have cozy comforters and extra blankets for those cooler nights; some even have heated mattress pads. There 3 full bathrooms and will provide you soft cuddly towels and there is always a supply of soaps, shampoos & lotions available if you forget yours. Rooms will be assigned to you. You will have to option to choose who you wish to room with. ❣ Please be aware that there are three queen beds and there is a possibility of sharing a bed with someone you may not know.❣ If you bring a friend, you will be paired in a room together.
When you need a break from your crafting, or you just want to relax and visit with a friend, you can sit by the cozy stone fireplace or get lost in the magnificent view of Longs Peak from their wall of windows. If you’re in the mood for some entertainment, there are two televisions with DVD players for some movie watching. If you are more of an outdoors type of person they have a beautiful front patio with a porch swing that just begs to be sat in, plus there are some great walking areas if you want to get out and stretch your legs. To top things off, you can enjoy some time in their luxurious hot tub if you get stiff and sore during your crafting marathon.
Throughout the weekend, you will be able to enjoy four meals including Sunday brunch and a Fun-Day Sundae Party. Friday lunch & Saturday breakfast is on-your-own. You will be responsible for bringing items for your breakfast. Please make sure to label your items. You will be teamed up with other attendees and be responsible for cooking one of the weekend meals. More information regarding meals will be given as we get closer to the event.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all dishes, pots & pans, crock pots, baking dishes, and other essentials you might need. There are two full size refrigerators and a wine refrigerator for your convenience. Estes Park has numerous restaurants ranging from fast food to elegant sit down dining if you choose to go out. Also, there are 2 grocery stores for all your shopping needs.
I will be providing non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and some special treats for each of you to enjoy at the event. Feel free to bring some of your own "favorite foods" to snack on throughout the weekend.
Every effort will be made to accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies, but it is essential that you make those requests known on the Registration Form by January 30th.
Rules to Be Aware Of
A Picture Perfect Place is a Non-Smoking facility and NO PETS are allowed. They are not responsible for lost, left, or stolen items. They are not responsible for any injury or accident. The use of the facility, as well as the swimming pool and hot tub is at the user's own risk. NO ALCOHOL will be allowed in the pool/hot tub area. Use of Alcohol is limited to the kitchen and dining area, and I personally ask that it be limited for the safety of everyone there. We are responsible for making sure the facility stays clean and the abuse of Alcohol will not be tolerated.
Parking is limited so carpooling will be GREATLY appreciated. Parking allowed in front driveway ONLY.
All registrations must be submitted to Carrie Simonds. Please complete the Registration Form on the following page and submit it along with your $75.00 down payment by January 30th, 2020. Your down payment of $75.00 will be applied to your $170.00 per person Registration Fee. Final payment is due by March 15th, 2020.
If you wish to not share a room with anyone, you can pay for a "Deluxe" package and have a room to yourself with additional crafting space. Cost for a "Deluxe" package is $335 for the weekend. I have two of these available. These are first come, first serve. Room is reserved for you once down payment is received.
You can send a check to Carrie Simonds at 709 Fifth Street, Kersey, CO 80644 or choose to pay online via a Square invoice. (You will be charged an additional $15 fee if you wish to make an online payment.)
Your $75.00 down payment is non-refundable. If you cancel before January 30th, 2020, you will be refunded all but the $75.00 down payment. You can choose to stay for the full weekend or for part of the time, but the cost is the same either way.
Refunds after March 15th, cannot be given due to the cost of the event. You will be responsible for making your final payment by March 15th, 2020. If you cancel after March 15th, you are responsible for the full payment and any payments made will not be refunded.
