[REGISTRATION] Women Visual Artist in the 19th Century Philippines
In celebration of the National Women's Month 2024, with a theme "WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society, the UP Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UP CWGS) will be having a lecture on Women and Arts. One of the faculty members of the Department of Art Studies, College of Arts and Letters, UP Diliman, Prof. Eloisa May P. Hernandez will tackle how women visual artists have been invisible in the Philippine art history during the 19th century. Dr. Hernandez will focus on the works of Paterno, Paz, and Adelaida – concentrating on space as category and the home as the primary space.

The lecture entitled,  Women Visual Artist in the 19th Century Philippines will be held on March 19, 2024, 2:00 pm-4:00 pm, at the UP CWGS Conference Room.  We will only accept up to 30 attendees registered in this Google Form to comply with safety protocols of the venue. Snacks will be served during the lecture.
