Who is the weekend for?
This is a weekend for families with older children. It is open to families where a parent or child has had a transplant. All activities are suitable for children aged 10 and above. A few activities will be suitable for younger children but most will not. It is open to families where a parent or child has had a transplant. Places for children are free.
What is the accomodation?
We will be staying at Outdoor Alternative in beautiful indoor accomodation (green tourism gold award) on the coast near a sandy beach. One family will stay in a caravan on the same site. All meals are included.
What are the activities?
There will be a range of activities depending on age including sea kayaking (introductory level and mixed ability), orienteering, coasteering (older group), seashore safari and pond dipping. Activities will be provided by B-Active-Rhoscolyn.
What time do we start and finish?
Arrival is on Friday afternoon in time for an evening activity and meal. Departure time is Sunday after lunch.
How much will it cost?
Activities, food and accommodation for children are all funded by Transplant Sport from our Children in Need grant. Parents pay £100 each. If you are not able to pay for the parent places or travel costs you can apply for a Transplant Sport grant to contribute to the costs.
Who will be there from Transplant Sport?
Simon (TS Kids and Teens Coordinator). Activities will be organised by Andy from B-Active Rhoscolyn. Andy is a transplant recipient. Parents are responsible for supervising their own children and for administration of medication, etc.

Please book below. If the weekend is full you will be added to a waiting list in case we have families drop out.
