MIGS - Montreal International Game Summit - Your access to experts!

MIGS17, the 14th edition, is looking for speakers to present lectures and masterclasses at the event that will take place in Montreal on December 11-13, 2017 at the Montreal Convention Center.

MIGS is the largest gathering of video game professionals on the East Coast of North America. We're looking for passionate people willing to share their knowledge, experience, and vision of the gaming industry.

We are looking for sessions in the 7 following tracks:
- Arts and Animation
- Audio
- Business and Marketing
- Game Design
- Industry and advocacy
- Production and project management
- Programming and technology

MIGS17 covers topics for all game professionals, thus we accept applications from AAA games and independent productions alike. All platforms are welcome from console to mobile, through online, PC, VR, set-top boxes and more.

The MIGS Program Committee is especially keen to receive proposals for talks and case studies that cover:

- AI + narrative
- AR, MR, VR, geolocation
- Creating believable characters (facial animation, rigging, etc)
- Designing for player emotion
- Esports and scalable multiplayer
- Evolution of monetization on all platforms
- Gender diversity/equality in the workplace
- Indie success and sustainability
- Meta-industry issues, advocacy, and professional development/education
- Production methodologies in practice
- Quality of life and self-care
- Streaming and influencer marketing
- Systems-driven design (procedural, user-generated, etc)
- User acquisition/retention
- UX, player research, and accessibility

- Sessions will be one hour long (45 minute talk with 15 mins Q&A)
- Speakers are expected to provide original material
- No sales pitches are accepted (separate sponsored sessions can be purchased for this purpose)

- Full day class (7 hours)
- Masters must provide necessary curriculum documentation to support their class
- Masters must identify the software/hardware needed for the class attendees (if any)

You have until May 30th to fill the form. After this date, the MIGS Program Committee will select the sessions it deems best to match the audience's needs.
