MabuFest Volunteer Sign-Up Form
Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer in PCMC's 15th Annual MabuFest on March 15, 2024! This year, we are expanding the scope of MabuFest in a huge way! This event will be open to the general public and not just UCLA students, we will have a celebrity headliner with hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify alone, and the event will be held in one of UCLA's biggest venues -- Ackerman Grand Ballroom! This means that we need volunteers that can help us out during this event. In return for volunteering, volunteer's admission into the event will be FREE!!

**This form is not a guarantee that you will be a volunteer, but simply a form to gauge interest. Based on your skills, talents, personality, and more, we will reach out to you individually (if you are accepted) with an offer to fulfill a certain role as a volunteer.**

Volunteer Descriptions
  • Bag Checker: This event will have a clear bag policy, but bag-checkers will still be necessary. All bag-checkers will have a flashlight and gloves, and will be responsible for checking every person's bag before they scan their ticket to enter AGB.
  • Crowd Controller: Though we will be hiring professional yellow-jackets, it still may be necessary to have additional security on standby to make sure attendees aren't approaching the performer dressing rooms, rushing the stage, getting in the doors without paying, and being disruptive during the festival. This position will report directly to PCMC Cabinet and the hired yellow-jackets to keep the event safe and running smoothly.
  • Ticket Checker: Every student will have paid for their ticket, and ticket checkers will be responsible for checking these tickets, making sure no student is using a fake ticket/screenshot, excuse. Ticket checkers will work with volunteer security and hired yellow jackets to ensure that every person that enters has properly paid.
  • General Volunteer: This is the most freeform position. This position will report directly to PCMC Cabinet and will fulfill any role that is needed. This may include being any of the above roles, making sure lines are orderly and not a crowd or helping facilitate student performers getting on the stage and knowing their place in the schedule.
