Hello friends! As you may know, I am the current President of Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP), an organization of doctors and activists who believe that single-payer Medicare for All is the only true solution to the many health problems facing America today.

This year, PNHP is celebrating our 35th anniversary! To mark this special occasion, I will be hosting a house party on May 21, 2023 at 4:00PM at my home, and I’d love for you to attend! We will provide food and drinks from countries that provide universal health care to their residents... which turns out to be nearly every developed country in the world! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BRING ANYTHING, but the more people that RSVP, the more variety we will provide, and might include cuisine from Italy, France, Japan, Germany, Netherlands, England, Canada, or Brazil... but definitely not the USA!

For 35 years, PNHP has led the movement for a truly equitable and just health care system; with your support, we can greatly expand our work. At this party, we will tell you a bit about our work, and we will be raising money (our goal is $3500: $100 for every year we've been fighting) for a special anniversary fund to support three of our most important priorities:

• Building the future of our movement through our medical student organization, Students for a National Health Program (including re-igniting a chapter here at JABSOM!)
• fighting back against the privatization of Medicare; and
• substantially growing our membership.

Not sure you know enough about single-payer healthcare reform but still want to meet folks and eat tasty food? Or maybe you're a student and just don't have the money to donate? or what if you aren't a physician? NO PROBLEM! Come on over and hear why single payer healthcare reform is the solution and meet like-minded folks (both within healthcare and outside of it!) who aren't satisfied with our current system!
