Sowing Seeds of Remembrance with DSL & PICA
Join the Demeter Seed Library (DSL) and the Program in Community Agroecology (PICA) in creating seed bombs/earth dumplings, this Tuesday at 3:30pm at the Farm Packing Shed or on zoom. Earth dumplings, also commonly known as seed bombs, were re-popularized by Masanobu Fukuoka to plant without disrupting the natural ecosystem with invasive/harmful techniques such as tilling & monocropping. If you are interested in learning more about the history of earth dumplings, their political underpinnings, and how you can make your own, this is the event for you!

Zoom details will be sent out tomorrow before the event. We will also be distributing earth dumpling supplies so folks who don't join us at the Farm can participate as well. We will send out a form about when folks can pick up their supplies but it will be throughout the day on Friday (10/15) at the Demeter Seed Library (Oakes Administrative Building, Room 307). We hope to see you all at the event or during distribution!
