Thanks for your interest in the Twin Cities Housing Speakers Bureau! The Speakers Bureau is a tenant-centered organization that supports the leadership, insights, and stories of people most impacted by housing challenges in the Twin Cities to advance effective solutions around affordable housing.
About this form
Please fill out the form below if you'd like to invite the Speakers Bureau to engage with your organization or event. Engagement means a collaboration by the inviting organization and the Speakers Bureau to create a tenant-centered panel and conversation facilitated by Speakers Bureau members. This conversation is meant to facilitate learning around the impacts -- and emphasize tenant-centered solutions for -- affordable housing challenges in the Twin Cities region.

This form exists to assist the Speakers Bureau in:
- Understanding your goals for our collaboration and learning
- Understanding the audience of the engagement
- Collecting logistical details of the engagement

Upon receiving the form, we will send you a confirmation within 5 days of receiving the request. We will also send you an invoice in advance of the event.

Once arrangements have been made, this engagement will be added to the Speakers Bureau calendar and Facebook page: Facebook.com/TCSpeakersBureau.

You may also use this form to make the Speakers Bureau aware of opportunities to speak, learn, or in engage in some other manner with the affordable housing movement in the Twin Cities region. Specifically, the Speakers Bureau seeks opportunities for members to:

- speak out and share their insights and lived experiences related to housing in the Twin Cities region as part of a panel, speaker line-up, etc.
- influence community members and policymakers on housing-related issues
- learn about housing issues and the affordable housing landscape in the Twin Cities region
- build skills related to public speaking, community organizing, and influencing policymakers

Event guidelines & information
Panels typically involve 3-4 Speakers Bureau members. We recommend you allot 45-60 minutes for the presentation and discussion. To compensate Speakers for their time and expertise, we require that you provide a $50 honorarium, plus a $25 program fee (to cover transportation, interpretation, and childcare, as needed), for a total of $75 per Speaker.

Payment: Minnesota Housing Partnership will send an invoice via email to your group once the invitation form is received and event is scheduled. We ask that you pay upon receipt of the invoice, in advance of the speaking engagement. Please make your check out to Minnesota Housing Partnership and include "Speakers Bureau" and the engagement date on the memo line.

Speakers Bureau / Inviting organization agreement
All honoraria ($50 for each speaker) and the program fee ($25 per Speaker) must be included in one check made out to the Minnesota Housing Partnership. Please fill in the check memo section with: Speakers' Bureau (date of presentation).

If you are unable to provide the program fee cost, please let us know and we can discuss possible arrangements.

Once we have received this filled out Event Info Form, we will send you a confirmation within 5 days of receiving the request. We will also send you an invoice in advance of the event.

Payment should be mailed in advance of the presentation. The undersigned agrees to reimburse Minnesota Housing Partnership within 30 days of receiving the invoice. In the event that you need to cancel a presentation, please contact Laura Proescholdt (laura.proescholdt@mhponline.org or 651.925.5552) at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time of the event. Full payment will be expected in the case of cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of the event. By entering your name in the field below, you are effectively providing your signature, indicating your consent to abide by the terms of this agreement.
