Rib Off: Grilling Competition

Vendors are specifically asked to cook ribs--how you do so, is up to you. How much you will be selling your ribs will be a set price for each vendor. Full $30, ½ $15 and 4 bones $10. We will only require a registration fee, $140 for businesses/organization and $40 for individuals. Everything you make off of your ribs is yours to keep. Vendors are not allowed to sell drinks or any sides for example coleslaw. We will make an exception to grilled chicken and burgers but those items will not be judged. This is a competition event and there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for both businesses and individuals.
If you are smoking ribs or need to cook them for a prolonged amount of time, we will be opening the park at 7am for anyone who needs to start cooking early. With that said we want all cooking to be ON SITE (chestnut park, specifically on the basketball courts). This allows the health department to check each vendors space and make any changes that he seems fit.
Vendors are responsible for bringing all their own equipment and set up material. We will be covering the permit fee with the health department for the selling and distributing of food in a public setting but we please ask that you follow all the guidelines in accordance to the Murray Health Department, this information will be emailed to you after signup.
