Initiating Your Inservice Practicum
The process for securing your practicum placement:

1: Candidate fills out this form and submits it electronically, and emails a PDF version of his/her resume to lcplacements@lclark.edu. If you plan to pursue more than one authorization level, you must request more than one practicum placement. Please submit one form for each practicum you need to request.
2: Candidate will contact the Program Director to schedule an advising appointment.
3: Program Director and candidate create a plan for practicum.
4: Program Director emails the Registrar's Office and Placement Office, granting permission for the candidate to register for practicum. Registrar registers the candidate for practicum and notifies the Placement Office and Program Director.
5: Candidate's background check is confirmed.
6: Based on the practicum plan the Placement Coordinator arranges placement and informs candidate of potential school and mentor information.
7: The candidate contacts the potential mentor within 24 hours and schedules a meeting. The candidate informs the Placement Office of the date and time for the scheduled meeting.
8: Candidate meets with the potential mentor and reports back on that meeting to the Placement Coordinator.
9: Placement Coordinator notifies candidate and Program Director when the placement is confirmed.
10: The candidate is assigned a supervisor.

NOTE: LEWIS & CLARK MUST REQUEST YOUR PRACTICUM PLACEMENT ON YOUR BEHALF. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT DISTRICTS, SCHOOLS OR POTENTIAL MENTORS DIRECTLY.
