In support groups people who have experienced or are experiencing similar things, have a space to get together on a regular basis to support one another emotionally and morally, offer counselling, and exchange information which could be beneficial to the members in the group. This space helps one be aware that they are not alone, it allows one to feel heard, accepted and understood.
