The Purple Resolve educational process instills and reaffirms a personal and professional commitment to the highest ideals of the military profession, it provides skills to optimize performance through resilience, mindfulness, ethical decision making, and helps attendees to define and promote the healthy aspects of the guardsmen's culture. Adapted from the traditional Blue Courage curriculum, the Purple Resolve process aids in the development of an organizational culture of continuous learning and intellectual curiosity, critical, and ethical thinking, diversity, inclusion, equity, respect, passionate devotion to our calling and those we serve - and critically - to enhance mental health and total well-being through effective resilience education.
The Purple Resolve Basic Course is 2 days and is open to all service members, their spouses and immediate family members (18+), as well as civilians, technicians and state employees who work directly with the NVNG.
The priority pay status for M-day and DSG Service Members to
attend is State Active Duty (SAD) when funds are available. If SAD funds are
not available, you must check with your unit to see if other pay options are possible.
Federal Technicians must get approval from their supervisor to attend and
adjust their timecard accordingly. For class dates that fall during scheduled IDT, you must have approval from your unit leadership to attend.
Registration and details will be confirmed within 1 to 2 weeks from the requested course dates.
Dress for the 2 day class is business casual attire.
