This first step helps us support you to choose your best pathway to success at KS5.
We try to keep this process as simple as possible and we ask you to choose your subjects from our provisional blocks.
Students will opt for a programme of study which will consist of
three A Level or Level 3 subjects and each subject will need to be listed in a different block. This means that you know you are choosing subjects we can offer together, as well as ensuring we can timetable your universal offer, private study and elective choices.
You will be able to select music, further maths or core maths as a fourth subject. EPQ does not need to be chosen now as it is a timetabled Year 13 course. You will see from our proposed blocks that it is accommodated across them all. Any other requests for four subjects can be discussed with the school
Current students can speak with with Mr Phillips or Mr Sheffield before applying or at your pathway meeting later this academic year.
For external applicants the suitability of a four A Level programme of study will be discussed with you at your Sixth Form interview.
If these blocks do not facilitate the combination of subjects that you wish to study you will be able to make us aware in the questions below. The school will respond to those students individually and we are open to making changes so that they may be accommodated, if possible, much like we did when you made your GCSE subject choices.
After you have submitted your application you should receive an email confirming it has been recorded.
All applicants will be called for interview to discuss their choices and during which you will be offered further advice and guidance in early 2025.
