The 2019 Practice Discipleship retreat is an opportunity for Young Adults in the Delaware-Maryland Synod to gather together and practice our call to discipleship in a supportive, inclusive and sustainable community. One of our goals for this retreat is to wrestle with "Calling: Hearing and Responding to God's Call." We'll ask questions like, "What does leadership look like in the church? How do we hear that call? What does that mean as we hear scripture and understand it? How can we be involved in the church NOW? " as you live into your calling as a disciple of Christ.

We realize that discipleship includes relationships, fellowship, and rest and retreat so please know how we can accommodate you --
we'll play games and encourage you to bring your favorites!
we'll eat together and encourage you to bring snacks to share!
we'll have free time and encourage you to share your interests with us!
we'll gather in small group discussions and encourage you to bring an open mind!
we'll worship and commune together and encourage you to come, just as you are!

The retreat costs $125 per person, which includes lodging, all meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast. You can pay this registration through our synod's online donation portal, making sure to indicate "Practice Discipleship" as the ministry receiving the funds. If the cost is prohibitive, there are full and partial scholarships available.
