Teaching Artist Application for                     Arts, Care & Connection Project
Arts for Learning Northwest (formerly Young Audiences of Oregon & SW Washington) is partnering with the Oregon Department of Education to create a series of lesson plans and videos for all K-5 educators in Oregon.  The lessons will integrate the Core Art Standards in dance, music, theater and visual arts with the Transformational Social-Emotional Learning framework.

Artists will be paired with a Design Team member for guidance and support.  Professional Development will be provided with a focus on state standards in arts and social emotional learning, as well as best practices lesson planning and teaching on-screen.

Artists will be contracted and paid $300 for training + a minimum of $900 for each lesson/module created.  This specific work will be shared throughout the state through an open-source curriculum website hosted by O.D.E. See some examples here.
