Healthcare Worker, Resident & Student *Virtual* Lobby Day & Rally to #PassNYHealth: Tues. March 23, 2021
Please RSVP below to join us ---- Physicians for a National Health Program - NY Metro Chapter, Students for a National Health Program, the Campaign for New York Health, partner organizations and advocates across the state ---- on March 23, 2021, for our annual statewide Healthcare Worker, Resident, and Student *Virtual* Lobby Day & Rally to advocate for the New York Health Act - the bill to guarantee universal healthcare to ALL New Yorkers (like Medicare-for-all for New York State!).
The New York Health Act passed the Assembly in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 with huge majority support. Now, for the first time in recent history, Democrats hold a supermajority in both the NY state Assembly and state Senate, providing an unprecedented opportunity to finally #PassNYHealth! We need your help to push the bill through the state Assembly and Senate and to get this to the Governor's desk to make health care equality a reality for all New Yorkers. There is a historic legacy on the table - that we responded to the pandemic by guaranteeing universal healthcare for all New Yorkers!
Please register by end-of-day Monday, March 15!
We expect to have hundreds of participants rallying for the New York Health Act so cannot guarantee that everyone will have a meeting with their elected official, but we promise that you will be plugged into important work.
You are needed to send a strong message to Albany legislators that New Yorkers want the NY Health Act! We can't have racial & economic justice without single-payer!
Details and Schedule for the day to come!
