Your application is considered complete when we receive: (1) the following form completely filled out, (2) two Letters of recommendation, (3) your official high school transcript, and (4) Essay. You should include these items with your submission, or have them sent directly to the Scholarship Committee, postmarked by January 25, 2019. You may apply for more than one scholarship but must indicate that you have done so on your 2nd (and 3rd) applications. Your application(s) will not be reviewed if there are any missing items. Please note, only those students chosen to receive a scholarship will be contacted.
• Resident of the District of Columbia, Maryland (Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties), andNorthern Virginia (City of Alexandria; Arlington and Fairfax Counties) • One letter of recommendation • Official transcript • Essay of 500-600 words answering one of the given questions • Signed and completed Application, submitted by January 25, 2019 • Be an incoming freshman at an HBCU • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale • Have a financial need • Have the most recent W-2 of your parent(s)/guardian(s) or yourself to verify financial need
