Required
Volleyball
Takes place at the Edgar Centre on Friday afternoons with games starting at 4pm. There is a weekly $2.50 (approx) per player charge for Edgar Centre entry which can be handed to Centre staff at the front desk. There is also an initial subscription cost of approx $15.00 per player which covers the cost of team entry and registration with Volleyball NZ and Otago Volleyball. DNI sports uniform will be compulsory and a drink bottle will be a good idea. Parent help for transport, coaching and team management is always welcome.
Futsal
Futsal is played at the Edgar Centre on Tuesday afternoons. Games can be anytime between 4pm and 7pm. All players are required to wear shin pads. The cost per player is about $48. Children will need to be dropped off before and picked up directly after their game.
Touch Rugby
Touch is played at the Oval on Thursday afternoons. Game times can be either 4.15pm, 4.45pm or 5.15pm. School PE uniform will be worn and the cost is $15 per player.
Waterpolo
Waterpolo is played at Moana Pool on Thursday nights during Term 4. Games are at any time between 3.30pm and 6pm. There are 2 grades (Beginner and Intermediate) and DNI will look to enter a team in each if numbers allow. Players new to waterpolo are welcome, however as waterpolo is played in the diving pool, players must be competent swimmers. Exact dates have not yet being sent to the school, however we will pass this information on when it arrives. The cost per player is about $20 for the season plus a weekly pool entry fee (approximately $3).
Rippa Rugby
Rippa is played at the Edgar Centre at anytime between 3.45pm and 6pm on Monday nights. There is a $5 one off team fee and entry fee of $2.50 needs to be paid each week at the door to the Edgar Centre each week. Exact dates have not yet been finalised by the organisers, we will pass these on to interested players when this information becomes available.
