After School Chess Grades 6-8
This is a beginning Chess class for 6th through 8th graders at Stone Bank School.  The class will focus on learning the basics of chess such as board set-up, the different pieces and how they move, and eventually strategy and game playing.  

The 6 week class will be lead by the president of the Arrowhead High School Chess Club, Erik Chiang.  

At the beginning of each class, 2:35-2:45, students will spend time on their chromebooks learning and practicing on their own on a specific chess site online while they enjoy their afterschool snack.  Please send a simple, neat, nut-free snack!

At 2:45, Mr. Erik will come in and teach the class.  The class will end at 4pm.  

This class will meet in the library.

Fall session dates are:
Wednesdays, October 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th, November 2nd, 9th

The cost for this class is $10 per student for the entire 6wk session.  Registration and payment MUST be made before end of day on Monday, October 3rd.  Payment can be cash or check made payable to Stone Bank School and turned in to the office.
