STEM STEAM in Vermont Schools

Let’s create a map that helps us visualize the different ways STEM/STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) is “MAKING” its way into Vermont Schools. There are many ways ‘Maker Ed” builds up STEAM in our learning learning environments ranging from CODING, to MAKER-ED to STEM/STEAM programs. Is your school doing one of the following? If so add your data to this survey and put your school "on the map”.

Which one of these is your school involved in?:

~adding maker spaces in their library
~setting up maker centers in their classrooms
~creating dedicated maker spaces
~adding STEAM classes as separate classes
~adding STEAM to existing classroom curriculum
~‘tech ed’ “art” and other electives that have a STEAM focus
~integrating STEAM throughout the culture of the school
~participating in Hour of Code or other Coding opportunities
other

We would love to add you to this visual MAP of schools involved and like to include pictures and videos as part of this map. Won't you contribute/share by filling out this form and also sending pictures and video links to peter.drescher@vermont.gov or ignite@vita-learn.org that can become part of the Visual Map
