Mentee Application - Due Nov 22, 2023
We're so glad you're interested in the Mentorship program! Who’s Eligible to be a Mentee? You must meet ALL three:
  1. Grow “specialty crops”  in Indiana (that’s veggies, fruit, mushrooms, honey, etc...full list here).

  2. Have completed at least ONE year farming on their own (anyone up to year 7!).

  3. Farm for a significant amount of their time or income (at least half time or half of their income).

If that's you: The Mentorship can help you:
  • Grow your farming network, including other beginning farmers and mentors
  • Connect with someone who’s successfully navigated life as a specialty crop farmer
  • Seek guidance on a range of farm topics such as work/life balance, financial planning, marketing, planting and harvesting techniques, managing imposter syndrome, and more
  • $1,000 stipend to compensate for time spent in the program
  • Interested in being paired with a Mentor? Click here to read more about what's expected of Mentees, what you might gain and how you'd contribute.
