St. John the Baptist Film Festival

We cordially invite all middle & high school students on Long Island to participate!
Entry Formats:
- Documentary 5-7 minutes
- Public Service Announcements (PSA) 2-3 minutes
- Commercial 1 minute or less
- Music Video 2-4 minutes
- Movie Trailer 1-3 minutes
- Comedy 2-4 minutes
- Best Elementary School Video, any genre 3-4 minutes

Entry Content:
- All school participants are responsible for ensuring that their entries to the St. John the Baptist Film Festival Do Not Contain inappropriate content.
- Awards are for 1st Place in each category, as well as a Viewer's Choice Award (determined by the Festival Audience).

Judging Criteria:
- Entries will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
- Content
- Continuity
- Creativity/Originality
- Impact
- Production Elements (audio, camera, lighting, post production editing)

The goal of the St. John the Baptist Film Festival is twofold: to teach students the storytelling process through media arts and to use video to inspire difference in our world.

St. John the Baptist DHS invites middle school and high school students on Long Island to participate in this film festival.

Entry Fee:
- One Can or Item of Nonperishable Food Per Person.
