Radar Awards 2017

Welcome to the entry form for the 2017 Radar Awards.

The Awards celebrate the best visual content in music marketing campaigns, made by up & coming creators worldwide. We'll be celebrating work from filmmakers, photographers, designers, animators, illustrators, developers and all-rounders this October at a central London venue.

The Awards are open to ALL up & coming creators worldwide. You don't need to be a member of Radar, you do need to be a creator of visual content for music promotion, who'd like to win these prizes:

All shortlisted entries (at least 24 creators) get:
- written feedback from 3 top-level industry judges
- an invitation to attend the event and after party, for unparalleled networking with record label commissioners & marketers, heads of talent at world class production companies, agents and reps
All winners (8 creators) will get:
- one-to-one career mentorship with world-class production companies and agents
- promotion across specialist trade media.
We're currently organising the specific judges and mentorships, they'll be of similar status to the judges and mentorships in the Radar Awards 2016 http://www.radarmusicvideos.com/radar-awards

All entries will be judged according to the quality of the concept, technical execution and artist-appropriateness. Within that, we expect we'll see work which could be suprising, innovative, amusing, beautiful, stylish, funny, odd, informative or exciting - or something else altogether.

You have two categories to choose from. Entry costs the same, whichever category you choose.
Entries can be made by the creators involved, the commissioner, the artist, the label or friends!
The creators will be the ones who win the prizes - the artists will also get promotion and we’ll endeavour to promote the commissioner, the label and any friends too.

Official music videos.
Full length music videos to accompany the track
At least 15 entries will be shortlisted and 5 winners chosen.

Best campaign content:
Up to three related pieces of visual content commissioned for any one artist campaign per entry. These can be in any format, eg poster, sleeve design, cover art, gif, photographs, unboxing videos, lyric videos, teasers.
At least 9 entries will be shortlisted and 3 winners chosen.

Both categories are open to music visual content first completed and, if commissioned, delivered to the commissioning company or other client between 1 July 2016 and 31 December 2017
What does ‘up & coming’ mean?

Official Music Video category - filmmakers can’t be signed for music videos or commercials to a production company producing broadcast television commercials. Online-only commercial content is fine.
Campaign Content category - creators should consider themselves to be at an 'up & coming' stage in their career as a content creator for music visuals.
Full terms & conditions are on the final page of this form.

Last day for regular entries is Wednesday 31st January 2018

Good luck!
