Fall 2025 Application for FREE tuition and textbooks for UHMC Early Childhood Education majors

UHMC is excited to be able to offer FREE tuition and textbooks* for Early Childhood Education (ECED) majors enrolled in any required courses to earn an ECED certificate or degree. We are currently accepting applications for fall 2025.

Students must:

Have UHMC as their home campus
Register for courses offered by UHMC (exception for students residing on Molokaʻi or Lānaʻi. Speak to Julie or Gemma for more information)
Courses must be required by UHMC ECED program certificates or AS degree

The program will continue through spring 2026 while funds last. Please complete the following form after registering for UHMC courses.

It is highly recommended that you meet with a Program Coordinator to plan your courses! Contact Julie Powers (juliepow@hawaii.edu) or Gemma Medina (nicholl@hawaii.edu) to schedule a Zoom meeting.

*Required textbooks will be made available to you for required courses. Once you have successfully passed the course (C or better) the textbook will be yours to keep!
