Maine Music Educators Association (MMEA) Virtual Conference Proposal Form
Music educators, professionals, companies, and organizations are invited to submit session proposals for the 2021 MMEA Conference which will be held virtually in May. Exact times and dates TBD.
The virtual conference will be comprised of synchronous and asynchronous offerings. Both the in-person and pre-recorded sessions will be archived and would be available for viewing at a later date.
Sessions are scheduled for 50 min. in length. Clinicians can elect to record a video presentation, do a live Zoom presentation, or provide a video & possibly offer a face-to-face follow-up via Zoom for Q & A/group discussion.
MMEA pays an honorarium of $50 for any session given by the clinician or team of clinicians listed on this form or $50 off the cost of the conference. Multiple sessions with different titles by the same primary clinician will be considered at the rate of $50.
Deadline for submission is January 31, 2021. The conference committee will review and select sessions based on criteria connected to the National Standards and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA). Applicants will be notified by February 21, 2021. Submission of a proposal should not be construed as an accepted proposal.
