Worcester Public Schools "The Four Pivots" Community Book Club
Join the Worcester Public Schools Community Book Club this upcoming fall as we dive into "The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves" by Shawn Ginwright. This transformative book offers a powerful exploration of justice and personal growth, challenging us to rethink our approaches to social change. Through thought-provoking discussions, we'll examine Ginwright's insights on healing, hope, and community. Open to high school students, teachers, staff, Caregivers, and community members, our book club provides a supportive space to reflect on these vital themes and their impact on our lives, society, and school district. Let's reimagine justice together!  This Community Book Club will be led and facilitated by the Worcester Public Schools Director of Equity, Caleb Encarnacion-Rivera, in partnership with Dr. Raphael Rogers. Dr. Rogers, an expert in youth activism, educational equity, and multicultural literature, has authored several works, including "The Representation of Slavery in Children’s Picture Books," and has contributed to numerous academic publications on teaching and history education.
