Who is invited to pitch? The criteria for pitches includes the following:
- Must be a food concept or creative retail concept based in Miami, FL- Can be a start-up or existing operator with limited units (no chains or long-standing operators, please)- Must present an innovative concept that will enrich Doral’s local culinary and cultural scene and propel it forward- Early stage concepts, as well as proven companies looking to scale are invited to apply.- Applicants must submit a 5-10 slide pitch deck by January 15, 2019
Five contestants will be selected from the applicant pool and provide 100 samples of product (if it is a food concept) for the judges and audience members to taste.
Each pitch should last no more than 5 minutes, and will be followed by a 5-minute Q&A session between the judges and the presenting contestant. Winners will be announced at the end of the event.

Judge’s Winner will:-- Be selected as a Doral Yard vendor -- Receive a $5,000 prize (*upon signing of lease)
Audience Favorite:-- Be selected as a Doral Yard vendor-- Receive a $2500 prize ( *upon signing of lease)
We suggest that pitch decks address the following topics (as relevant): 1) what is your product / key differentiators 2) who is your customer 3) opportunity/market trends 4) market size 5) business model 6) why now/why Downtown Doral 7) core team 8) customer acquisition strategies 9) traction/performance to date.
