Scriptural Reasoning Group Interest Form
Hello! Thank you for your interest in a new inter-religious dialogue group beginning September 2025. We are seeking volunteers from Cincinnati’s Islamic, Jewish, and Christian communities to participate in monthly dialogue sessions (about 1 hour long) from September 2025-May/June 2026, meeting at Xavier University. We will be using a dialogue model called Scriptural Reasoning (http://www.scripturalreasoning.org) that brings us in each session into mutual engagement with the Qur’an, Tanahk, and Christian Scripture. We are seeking both clergy and lay participants for these meetings. Capacity is limited to 12 participants.

Your participation will help other participants develop appreciation for your religion, your sacred text, and how each religion understands each other’s scriptures.

Our first session will be an introduction to this dialogue style. In the concluding session, participants will be invited to share briefly about their experience.

Times for meeting will be determined by participant availability (please answer below). Confirmation, meeting times, and location will be finalized and announced late August, 2025.

Please direct any questions to Dr. Daniel McClain at dwm@wcllcs.org.
