OCB mCDR - California Current Regional Node - Interest Form
Building upon the Ocean Carbon Biogeochemistry Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal September 2022 Workshop [https://www.us-ocb.org/marine-co2-removal-workshop/], the new OCB mCDR working group is gearing up. We have organized the working group into six different place-based regional nodes. This interest form is for people who would like to participate in the California Current regional node. These place-based regional nodes will leverage the strengths of OCB in building communities with diverse stakeholders centered around the common objective of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) in the California Current. With the growing interest in mCDR technologies and the growing urgency around ocean-based climate solutions, now is the time to build the community needed to address the many challenges and opportunities related to this important topic!

The California Current regional node would like to connect a diverse set of stakeholders - in science, government, industry, local communities, nonprofits, and more - to discuss how mCDR affects our region, and identify priorities for developing the community, infrastructure, and science we will need to understand and implement responsible mCDR.

If you would like to be a part of this conversation please fill out the interest form below, and feel free to forward to any other individuals or stakeholders you think may be interested. Your responses below will aid us to know how best to serve the community.

Your California Current Regional Node Co-leads,

Christina Frieder, Kristen Davis, Alex Harper
