2019 Farm to Institution Innovation Grant Application
The Maine Farm to School Network (MFSN) and Maine Farm to Institution (MEFTI), herein after the Networks, are seeking proposals for innovative projects to be carried out by community-level farm to institution stakeholders that will increase the amount of Maine-grown and harvested food on food-serving institutional menus. The goal of this funding is to support local startup processes and projects or enhance existing processes and projects. A closely related goal is to enrich the Networks by supporting network building among grant recipients through shared learning. Community dialogues that demonstrate diverse participation and are engaging a systems approach to increasing procurement of local foods by food-serving institutions are expected.
