UCSC Cal Teach Statement of Intent to Participate Form
UCSC's Cal Teach program offers internships, coursework, academic and career advising, and professional development and enrichment activities in support of future secondary math and science teachers. The typical entry point is the CaT1 internship, which requires a written application, including short essays and a recommendation. Follow-up internships are available to students who performed satisfactorily in the internship and accompanying academic seminar and whose academic plans and career goals remain compatible with a future math or science teaching career. Stipends and other financial benefits of participation are available only to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) majors, including Environmental Studies majors completing substantial science coursework.
