2019 ALHSLF Lions Club Member Volunteer Form
ALHSLF will be June 21-23, 2019 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) at Troy University in Troy, Alabama.

Volunteer training will start at 10:00AM on Friday June 21, 2019.
Volunteers will be dismissed by 12:00PM on Sunday June 23, 2019.
We prefer and highly encourage volunteers to plan to participate from start to finish including the training on Friday at 11:00AM.


*NOTE* This is a form for all adult volunteers. You will be contacted by a representative from the ALHSLF Board to confirm your form has been received.

We suggest writing your responses to short answer questions in a separate text editing document, then use copy and paste to insert them into this application. Be sure to click submit at the bottom of the form when you are finished. You will be provided with a t-shirt, polo, a dorm room on campus, and meals starting Friday at lunch through Sunday at breakfast. Volunteers are highly encouraged to stay in the Troy University Dorms. The cost for all meals, campus stay, t-shirt, and polo is $40.00.

Delegate Transportation Assistant
1. Call Delegates (high school students) and their parents and confirm they are riding the bus the week of the event from designated location. You will be provided a list of Delegates. 2. Communicate with the ALHSLF Bus Coordinator the week of the event 3. Take roll at bus stop on Friday morning; Call students if they are not present 4. Take roll at bus stop on Sunday afternoon 5. We prefer these assistants ride the bus as a chaperone to and from the Forum Bus Locations

Group Leader Assistant
Group Leaders are college students who will be assigned to lead a group of 10-15 Delegates (high school students). One Lion Volunteer will be assigned to one group for the entire weekend. Mandatory training will begin Friday morning at 10:00AM in Troy, AL. Volunteers will only be supporting and assisting the Group Leaders (one male and one female college student group leader per group). The college student Group Leaders will facilitate all small group meetings throughout the weekend.

Registration Assistant
Lion volunteers will need to be at mandatory training on Friday morning at 10:00AM Troy, AL. Volunteers will help greet/welcome students, assist with registration, pass out forum materials at check-in, and help delegates get their belongings to their rooms. A specific responsibility will be assigned to you on Friday morning at training. Note: All volunteers will help with registration in some way.

Scholarship Interview Assistant
Volunteers will help to interview Delegates (high school students) who were selected as an outstanding member of his/her group and then work with the interview panel to select a scholarship winner based on the interviews. You will be briefed on the specific process prior to interviews taking place.

Dorm Monitor
Volunteers will assist the security team by performing room checks each night to confirm students are in their assigned rooms and have their lights out at the specified times.

Water Assistant
Volunteers will refill coolers with ice and bottled water throughout the weekend. Coolers must be transported to designated locations during the weekend.

There will be a nurse on-site throughout the weekend. If you would like to assist, please specify qualifications (i.e. CPR, First Aid)
