Postcards for Legislators
Legislators need to know that homebirth is safe and midwifery is an important issue to their constituents. In the coming months and years we, at the Alabama Midwives Alliance, hope to improve the midwifery law to include access to essential medications, expanding access to midwifery to VBAC moms, and freedom for midwives to provide well newborn care and well-woman care. Flooding the legislators with postcards can raise their awareness that midwifery is an important issue.
