TAW's Online Feminist Bookstore

Teach About Women's feminist bookstore is a partnership with a local New York institution, Book Culture, to help K-12 teachers find great books for teaching about women, gender, and intersectional feminism.

This bookstore supports the Teach About Women's larger mission to bring feminist & gender-inclusive resources and practices to classrooms. To learn more, visit www.TeachAboutWomen.org

How does it work? Recommend a book or books that work well for teaching students about women, gender, or social justice. Tell us (briefly) why it's so great. Feel free to share any lesson materials or syllabi that could help a K-12 educator use the book effectively.

PASS THIS ON! We would love to hear from as many people as possible.

Inclusivity Philosophy: We are dedicated to teaching an intersectional approach to gender that celebrates, and explores women's experiences and includes considerations of race, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic background, family, sexual orientation, disability, and life experience. We accept that women and gender are terms that mean different things at different times to different people and we are open to discussing their usefulness.
