There are many learning and growing opportunities in the F1 in Schools STEM Challenge activities. Feel free to explore the various aspects and roles of our team. Check anything interested to you and submit the form if you want to participate.
1) Writer – Writing and proofreading all the social media postings, marketing documents, portfolios, and presentation materials.
2) Animator – Creating 3D animation of race car model to demonstrate its design features, manufacturing process, and product quality.
3) Graphic Designer – Conducting graphic design of team identity, portfolios, pit display, T-shirts, and marketing materials.
4) Videographer – Recording and documenting F1 team activities using camera & video camera, and organizing them in F1 Drive.
5) Video Editor – Creating videos for Pit Display and presentations.
6) Web Designer – Creating interactive web design for team web pages.
7) App Developer – Creating interactive demonstration apps for Pit Display.
8) Technical Rule Checker – Checking all designs against technical regulations, especially the Critical Regulations.
9) CAD Designer – Using Autodesk Fusion 360 or Inventor to design 3D-printing parts or/and car body.
10) CFD Designer – Using Autodesk Flow Design, ANSYS AIM Student, or SimScale to conduct CFD simulations.
11) CNC Engineer –Working with CNC machine shop to acquire in-field CNC experience.
12) 3D Printing Engineer – Working with in-house 3D Printer to print parts, and working with 3D-printing shop to acquire in-field 3D-printing experience.
13) Manufacturing Engineer – Supporting car assembly process.
14) Test Engineer – Conducting track tests and recording & analzing the test results.
15) R&D Engineer – Creating math & physics model of racecar motion and racing time prediction.
16) Marketing Strategist – Identifying and exploring new venues of marketing.
17) Fund Raising Specialist – Assisting in fund-raising events and communication.
18) Accountant – Managing daily bookkeeping of income and expense.
19) Purchasing Specialist – Assisting in ordering parts according to specifications.
20) Communicator – Assisting in build relationships with administrators, PTA, sponsors, collaborators, and school community.
