Historical Thinking Using ARIS on Mobile Devices

Mobile learning. Bring your classroom alive with technology! During this class, you will experience augmented reality and interactive story telling using ARIS. This program, created at the University of Wisconsin-Madison by the Games, Learning and Society Research team, allows teachers and students to create video games – using primary sources from the Library of Congress.
This class will cover game design, storytelling, dialogue integration, and primary sources. Teachers can create games to use in their classroom. Or have the students learn to create the games to demonstrate the content they have learned.
Learn with gaming to make history come alive in your classroom while supporting the CCSS.
