Summer Programs & Camps at RED
RED HAS 5 OPTIONS FOR SUMMER:  
  1. Daily Rides - Ride 4 days in a row, same hour each day, M/T/W/Th for that week
  2. Horse Camps - Mon - Thurs from 9am-1pm
  3. Reading to Horses - 30 min once weekly or 4 days in a row
  4. Job Training - 1 hour per week in the barn
  5. Vocational/Gift Shop - 2 to 4 hours per day, 1 or more days per week 
You can sign up for one or all options on this form.

RED will email you the week(s) we can offer for summer based on your sign-up.
Due to the high demand, you MUST REPLY within 48 hours of the email to confirm your spot with payment.
Payments not received within 48 hours will have to be released to the next participant.

Payments for summer programs and camps are not refundable unless the spot can be filled by another participant, then it will be refunded less a $50 processing fee.

If you have been approved for a full scholarship for the current school year, you are also approved one week of daily riding or one week of horse camp, based on availability. If you are approved for a partial scholarship, the same rate applies for summer.

If you are a NEW participant for camp or riding programs and have not had a screening at RED, you will need to:
  1. Complete this form
  2. Complete the "New Participant Registration" form with the signed "Physician's Statement"
  3. Schedule & attend the free screening
  4. Then submit the payment to confirm your spot.

Summer Options: More than one option can be selected with this form.
HORSE CAMP
Horse Camp is inclusive for Riders of all ability levels.
Each day includes horseback riding, horse care, mini horses, gross motor games, fine motor crafts.
Each camper will take home a scrap book with pictures from the week.
Horse camp is open to everyone in the community including siblings and friends.

SOCIAL AGE for camp is 5 - 12 years old.  Participants must be at least 5 years old. Those over 12 years who are socially/emotionally at or under the age of 12 and enjoy activities for 5-12 year old's can still attend camp.  For kids who are socially and emotionally over 12 years old please consider the daily rides for a week followed by a job training/barn hour or the vocational/gift shop program for more advanced social engagement.

Camps run Monday – Thursdays from 9am – 1pm
At the Dripping Springs location in June & July.
Cost is $750 per week.

Each day, each camper will need:
  • Non-perishable lunch & water bottle labeled with child’s name.
  • Change of clothes in labeled ziplock bag to leave for the week.
  • Solid toe shoes & socks (no sandals).  
  • Their riding helmet (if they have their own). 
  • Personal care supplies (if needed, diaper/pull-ups/wipes).
  • Seating device if needed for sitting balance and/or mobility device if used.
Each week is limited to 8 Campers.
Camp is open to all RED Arena Riders, their siblings, friends and the community.

SUMMER DAILY RIDES
We will have PT and Therapeutic Riding lessons 4 days in a row on  Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur each week.
This is a great way to get an intensive boost with daily sessions.

You must commit to coming each day for that week, at the same time (M/T/W/Th).

You are welcome to do more than one week if we have it available.

This will be at the Dripping Springs location.

JOB TRAINING & READING PROGRAM
Job training &/or Reading will continue once or twice weekly through the summer for 6 weeks.
These programs can also be added before or after daily riding for those weeks. 
They can also be scheduled while a sibling is doing the daily riding.

Starting June 1 through July 16.
We will be closed the week of June 29 - July 2.

Job Training sessions are 1 hour for $45, up to 2 hours can be scheduled per day.
As the schedule allows, Job Training is scheduled with a socially similar peer to incorporate team work.

Reading sessions are 30 mins for $45 and include reading to the horses as well as grooming & walking the mini horses.

Vocational/Gift Shop Program
The Vocational/Gift Shop Program will continue weekly through the summer for 7 weeks.
Starting June 1 through July 16.
We will be closed the week of June 29 - July 2.
This is only available at the Dripping Springs location.

These program participants, know as our RED PROs, create handmade items to sell in our gift shop.  The program focus is on social skills, fine motor activities, gross motor/movement time and fun with peers.

PROs bring a lunch each day.

The Vocational Program is from 10am-2pm the same day each week for $700 for the summer. 
A missed day will be offered a makeup time but it's not guaranteed.
