📖 Future of Edmonton Essay Contest 🖋️
The City of Edmonton Youth Council invites Edmontonian youth to submit an essay envisioning their City's future and their role in it. This project will creatively engage you to reflect on Edmonton's growth and the active role you can play in it!

Select one of the following prompts for your submission:

1) If there were no restrictions on your power as Mayor for a day, how would you change Edmonton?

2) It is 2050. What does a day in the life of an Edmontonian look like?

3) Briefly describe a key issue that faces Edmontonians today and explain your approach to effecting its resolution.

Submissions will be evaluated as per:
a) quality of ideas
b) relevancy to question
c) creativity and authenticity
d) style and flow

Submissions must not exceed 1500 words.
Eligible submissions must be written by those aged 13 to 23 as of April 30th, 2019.

The winner in each category, junior (ages 13-17) and senior (ages 18-23), will be invited to be recognized at the CEYC Awards Ceremony in June 2019 to receive their honorarium of $150.
