1. I acknowledge and fully understand that participation in the Activities involves inherent and significant risks, both known and unknown, including but not limited to: falls, collisions with other participants, objects, or equipment; injuries resulting from ice conditions; equipment failure; and other hazards associated with physical exertion and recreational ice use. I understand that these risks could result in serious bodily injury, disability, paralysis, or death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, and accept full responsibility for my participation.

2. As consideration for being permitted by the Fair, the State of California, the County of Humboldt, and any lessor for the fair premises, to participate in these activities and use the Fair premises and facilities, I forever release the Fair, the State, the County, the Lessor, any fair affiliated organization, {collectively known as “Releasees”} and their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representatives from any and all actions, claims, or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives now have, or may have in the future, for injury, death, or property damage, related to my participation in these activities or not, and however caused, by any releasee, or the condition of the premises where these activities occur, whether or not I am then participating in these activities. I also agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributees, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue, or attach the property of any Release in connection with any of the matters covered by the foregoing release.

3. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Activities, including any claims brought by or on behalf of minors for whom I am responsible.

4. I agree to comply with all posted rules, written instructions, and verbal directions given by the Ice Rink staff. I understand that failure to comply may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund.

5. I hereby grant full permission to the Ice Rink and its authorized representatives to take, use, and publish photographs, video recordings, or other likenesses of me participating in the Activities for lawful promotional, advertising, or other commercial purposes without compensation or further notice. I waive any right to inspect or approve such materials.

6. I have read this Release and Waiver of Liability, fully understand its terms, understand that I have given up substantial rights by signing it, and sign it freely and voluntarily without any inducement.
