3-C Family Services is thrilled to announce our Building Social Confidence: Social Emotional Learning Groups will now be available to children and adolescents! We have a variety of programs to offer for varying ages and will work to match your child to the program most suitable for their specific needs!

The purpose of this form is to gather contact information of those interested to have their child or adolescent participate in a group. Please complete each item in this form. Read further for additional details about our groups and next steps for enrollment.

About our Social Emotional Learning Groups:

The social world is a big, complicated place! We are all social navigators as we observe, gather, and make sense of the clues in different social contexts (settings, situations, and the people in them) to figure out the hidden expectations (sometimes called hidden rules) for expected behaviors, as well as to understand how we each feel and think about what others say and do in a situation. The aim of these Social Emotional Learning Groups are to help social learners recognize the power of observation, reading context, and interpreting clues to give them the tools, choices, and power to meet their social goals.

Groups are composed of similarly aged peers with social-emotional challenges. Group size varies. The lessons in these groups are designed to encourage children to learn new ways to think about themselves in relation to others. The overarching goals of our Social Emotional Learning Groups are to build behavioral and cognitive social-emotional learning skills and build adaptive coping strategies for social problems.

Our facilitators are well trained, skilled, and experienced in teaching social-emotional learning and social thinking concepts, both individually and in group settings. Each of our Social Emotional Learning Groups are centered on group learning exercises for enhancing social attention, communication, cooperation, and confidence. These groups are designed to improve social relationships, behavior, and emotional functioning.

Group Costs:

All groups are charged $110 per session. Each group offering also has a required materials fee. The groups are self-pay only. An Intake Questionnaire and Intake Appointment are required before group placement and enrollment.

The purpose of this form is to gather contact information of those interested to have their child or adolescent participate in a group. Please complete each item in this form.

2. Complete and Submit the Required Social Skills Intake Questionnaire

All interested families are required to complete the Social Emotional Learning Group Intake Questionnaire. This questionnaire will be attached to your email confirming receipt of your Interest Form entry. This completed Social Emotional Learning Group Intake Questionnaire is required in order to move forward with scheduling your Social Emotional Learning Group Intake Appointment. The Intake Questionnaire covers basic information that will serve to guide further interviewing. After completing the Questionnaire, families will submit this questionnaire to our office and then schedule their required 30-minute intake appointment.

3. Schedule and Complete the Required Social Skills Intake Appointment:

The group leader(s) would like to meet with you to discuss your child’s challenges, what you hope to get out of this group, and to make sure the group will be beneficial for your child. These intake appointments are used to determine group fit before enrollment. This intake appointment is required in order to enroll your child in one of our Social Emotional Learning Group offerings. The 30-minute intake appointment is $150.00.

If you are a current, active client at 3C Family Services or if you are a returning group participant, then, you may not be required to complete an Intake Appointment. You are still required to complete and submit the Intake Questionnaire (step 1) before enrollment.

During the 30-minute intake appointment, the group leader will collect additional information about your child, their challenges, and your goals for the group. The group leader will be able to answer any questions you may have about our group offerings. Then, a determination will be made regarding which group would best meet the needs of your child. Note, there is a chance that during the intake appointment it will be determined that none of our group offerings are a good fit for your child, and you will be provided with recommendations and referrals.

4. Finalize Enrollment:

During the intake appointment, your child’s group placement will be finalized. If you move forward with enrolling your child, you will complete all required enrollment paperwork at the intake appointment. Then, your child will be fully enrolled and ready to begin!
