Each autumn and winter, Thanet District Council plants trees in parks and open spaces in the district, to improve tree cover for wildlife and for people to enjoy. We are inviting local people to help plant and care for the new trees.
The next planting dates and locations are:
Margate - Tivoli Park - October/November 2026
Broadstairs - St Peter's Recreation Ground - dates TBD
Ramsgate - dates and sites for 2026 TBD
Children are very welcome to take part, if accompanied by an adult. We also welcome community groups and people taking part in volunteer days!
Equipment will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary.
