South Campus Social Media Internship Application
The South Campus Office of Residence Life is currently seeking three highly‐skilled and purposeful individuals to serve 10‐20 hours per week as Social Media Intern for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Social Media Intern should be proactive, committed, and enthusiastic. The Social Media Intern will take charge of managing and elevating SU South Campus social media presence. This includes:

Social Media Interns should possess:

• Eagerness to learn and grow
• An interest or passion for social media
• Ability to set and adhere to strict deadlines
• Collaborate with a positive and innovative team
• Positive attitude, impeccable communication, and team player an absolute must
• Resourcefulness and willingness to self‐start on social media posts and projects
• Currently enrolled in a full time undergraduate program and live on South Campus
• Strong familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)
• Ability to powerfully receive and incorporate feedback on performance to improve the internship experience

Responsibilities include:

• Meet and engage with residents at South Campus events
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and styles across social platforms
• Develop and implement campaign marketing on all social media platforms
• Strategize new ways to reach student population across multiple digital mediums
• Participate in building compelling social media campaigns to actively engage targeted communities
• Maintain all South Campus social media platforms, making sure each platform is up to date and interconnected
• Monitor and respond to messages on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media accounts
• Gauge audience receptivity and develop strategies for inspiring our followers to connect and participate in our upcoming events
• Write and post effective, inspiring, and engaging daily content for all of South Campus social media pages while keeping the voice of the South Campus online personality
• Develop and implement a system where the campus community of educators, and other organizations can effectively share upcoming events, campaigns, and content to be featured on our social media pages
• Build community interest and momentum through Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and other social media channels by posting updates, engaging conversations and discussions, and increasing the number of followers
