Poster Session Interest Form for GeoTech 2015

Sensor Design Considerations for UAS Platforms: A User’s Perspective

Are you interested in attending GeoTech 2015?

GeoTech is a two-day technical conference for geographers, image scientists, and engineers that is hosted by the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. The focus of the conference this year is Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAVs. For more information on GeoTech, please go to: (http://www.asprspotomac.org/2015geotech/index.html).

This year, GeoTech will be hosted at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, on September 23 and 24, 2015, and will feature a large student presence from many universities in the Potomac/Mid-Atlantic region.

If you are a student, and are interested in attending GeoTech 2015, please submit your request to present a poster, which will give you full access to the second day of the conference. Attending the conference will give you special access to prospective employers and researchers, as well as give you the opportunity to meet with other students from local universities.

The poster session is open to undergraduate students as well as graduate and post-doctoral students. Undergraduate students and first-time conference attendees are especially encouraged to submit posters. You may use the poster template provided at (http://oscar.gmu.edu/students/Creating-Posters.cfm), which will make your poster a lot easier to create as well as easy for people to read!

If you have any questions about creating a poster, please email Jessica Fayne at jfayne2@gmu.edu.

The poster session will contain approximately 20 posters, so please apply early. Please contact jfayne2@gmu.edu if your availability changes and you will no longer be able to present your poster.

    ABOUT ASPRS

Founded in 1934, the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) is a scientific association serving over 7,000 professional members around the world. Our mission is to advance knowledge and improve understanding of mapping sciences to promote the responsible applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), and supporting technologies. To join ASPRS, please click here: http://www.asprs.org/Join-Now/Membership-Online-Application-Form.html In addition, ASPRS is pleased to offer fourteen awards totaling more than $50,000 in value. Available to both undergraduate and graduate student-members of ASPRS and others, these resources have been generated with the intention of advancing academic and professional goals within the fields of Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and related disciplines. For information on scholarships, please click here: http://www.asprs.org/ASPRS-Awards-and-Scholarships.html ASPRS is the leader in geospatial and engineering best practices and standards, and awards certifications in mapping sciences and engineering. For more information obtaining a certification, go to: http://www.asprs.org/Certification-Program/blog.html **Students are eligible to apply for the Geospatial Intern Program, which follows the same criteria as the regular certifications, but with the exception of the years of work experience.**
