Summer 2017 Research Experience with Gina

Description of possible research duties:
>>Help with one-time mussel bed measurements and field collections
>>Monitor field experiment near Long Marine Lab: includes photographing plots, counting dead mussels, and cleaning cages
>>Process mussel samples, including photographing and measuring shells
>>Possibly collecting and processing water samples to measure pH
>>Observing snail predation in the lab
>>Analyzing mussel beds from photos

>>Good at following directions and working independently
>>Pays close attention to details
>>Communicates well
>>To help with one-time collections: able to climb down high cliff sides and work very early in cold/windy intertidal conditions for 5 hours
>>To help with field experiment: same as above plus must be available for multiple sampling times (once every 2 weeks this summer; specific dates TBD)
>>To help with lab work: must be able to commit several hours per week for several weeks (on your own schedule)
