Wellesley Students vs Pandemics Recruitment Form
Wellesley Students vs Pandemics (WSvP) is the Wellesley College chapter of Students vs Pandemics (SvP), a national organization founded at Harvard, that works to build community and empower students to make a positive impact on health and overall wellness during times of crisis. Our primary goals are to improve transparency and communication, build community, identify needs, and innovate solutions. SvP shares health education material, resources for students, opportunities to serve our greater community through our resources spreadsheet and Instagram. Some SvP chapters have also been writing policy memos for state legislators, organizing virtual COVID hackathons, addressing digital disparity, and launching other initiatives.
We started an SvP chapter at Wellesley College, with the help from several friends and faculty, and are currently seeking more general members. Within a week of our launch, we gained over 50 members. We plan to continue working into the next school year as COVID-19 is currently changing lives in ways no one could have ever imagined.
