With the success of our Homework Help project under the Social Inclusion Activities for the Chinese Community Project umbrella, Oakville Chinese Network (OCN) Homework Help Club is run by Sunshine Path Youth Empowerment Group (SPYEG) affiliated with OCN. The SPYEG is led by a group of volunteers mainly from secondary school students and supervised by the board of directors of OCN.
The OCN Homework Help Club aims to provide homework assistance and guidance to the elementary students mainly from Grade 1 to 6 who are struggling academically. At the same time, it also provides volunteer opportunities for secondary school students.
To secondary school students: We are looking for secondary school students who succeed in academics and are willing to offer help as a tutor in our Homework Help Club. OCN will provide volunteer hours to the tutors. If you are interested in volunteer opportunities, please fill out the application form by December 2, 2021.
