Please give a brief description of the purpose and approach of your project.

What is the key research question you wish to answer using statistics?  Any secondary questions?
*
What statistical challenges would you like to address through consulting?
*
Does your project involve human subjects data? Are their other confidentiality or data sensitivity issues of which we should be aware? *
What type of collaboration are you interested in?  Note that initial consultations are always free.
Level of collaboration
*
Is this a funded project with funding available if extended consulting is needed? (lack of funding does not mean we are unable to provide extensive help, but such help depends on our time availability)
*
If this is a thesis or dissertation project, is your advisor aware of your request for consulting?  Is your advisor able to attend a consulting session with you?
*
Most of our consulting is conducted by groups of graduate student statistical consultants guided and supported by statistics faculty.  The first meeting is usually with a larger group of student consultants and 2 statistics faculty consultants.  This group informally discusses your project with you, then we together decide next steps and, if necessary, determine a smaller team to work with you for follow-up.  Follow-up sometimes includes further conversations, and sometimes includes analysis conducted by our team.  It is helpful to come to the first meeting ready to describe your project.  Some people use slides to do this, some people show data, although neither of these is essential, as long as you are ready to help us understand what you are doing and what you need.  Is this consistent with your needs and goals?
*
Describe your project's timeline, and the timeline on which you are looking for consulting.
*
It is often helpful for us to look at your data, and perhaps another document before your consulting session.  If you have a google account, you can upload files for us to look at here (please open this link in a new tab, then don't forget to submit this form too!).
