In 2019 more than 50,000 people came to downtown Binghamton for LUMA Projection Arts Festival. LUMA 2023 will be taking place the nights of Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9, and we need your help! Spread the word and ask a friend to volunteer with you!
STREET VOLUNTEER: Street Volunteers help us create the festival experience of a lifetime! You’ll have the opportunity to help out in a variety of ways including monitoring our information tents, house management, taking charge of parking services, providing guidance to festival goers regarding features, or helping in one of the other roles we have available. Availability 09.08 and/or 09.09 required.
TYVEK TEAM: The Tyvek team will cut and place the 600 SQ yards of material needed to make the building windows projection ready. We will start by cutting the material, then teams of 2 will place the material using tape and ladders. Availability for a couple days between 08.19 and 09.01 required.
TECH TEAM: The Tech Team will assist our Technical Directors with the projection mapping installations. Training will begin at the end of July. If you want to become an integral part of Team LUMA this is the place to start. Availability 40-60 hours 07.24 thru 09.09 required.
PROMO TEAM: The Promo Team will be responsible for raising community awareness of LUMA Festival. Responsibilities include tabling at various festivals and events as well as handing out flyers and other street level promotion. Availability 4-8 hours 07.09 through 09.07.
