BACKGROUND: In 1950, at its Eighteenth National Convention, Theta Phi Alpha adopted as its national philanthropy the Glenmary Home Missioners. In 1990, during the fortieth anniversary year of that decision, the Board of Trustees instituted the National Philanthropy Award to recognize the chapter that contributes the most, in terms of goods or services, to one of its affiliates. The House That Theta Phi Alpha Built was added as a National Philanthropy in 1993. The award was subsequently expanded to recognize the chapter that best supports the efforts of Theta Phi Alpha’s National Philanthropies. If you have any questions please contact email@example.com.
